  15. happen as a result of using this program. Ok, so now that I've got that out
  16. of the way, I'm pretty sure that it won't harm your computer or disk drives
  17. in any way. To be sure, back up your Qecho.ctl file(s) before using it.

  19. Qecho Manager is the first attempt at making Qecho a little more friendly to
  20. the new sysop and also to help you maintain/edit your control files. Que_Echo
  21. is used for your qecho.ctl files. Area_bbs is used for your areas.bbs files.

  23. Running Que_echo

  25. To run the program, type Que_echo at the DOS prompt. That's it. When you
  26. first start up, it will ask for your net/node number. It won't let you go
  27. an further until you supply it.

  31. To run the program, type Area_bbs at the DOS prompt. That's it.

  33. Limitations.

  35. It only handles 10 qecho.ctl or areas.bbs files (I may up it to 15 if someone
  36. wants it).

  38. It only handles up to 60 packer statments. I really don't see for any more
  39. than that and Qecho 2.75 will have a default statement so there should be
  40. no reason in the future to have a lot of statements.

  42. It doesn't support arc/unarc. That's what the packer statement's for. Maybe
  43. I'm being a little bold but...

  49. You can navigate through the menus using the up, down, home, end, page up and
  50. page down keys. When editing a field, you can use the insert and delete keys
  51. (as well as home and end). There are help screens that describe the qecho.ctl
  52. and areas.bbs statements.

  54. I tried to make it as simple to use as possible and so this is about it for
  55. documents. If you really need more documents, please let me know and I'll
  56. whip up more detailed instructions.

  80. detail. I'll work on it as soon as I get it, but I won't release the fix
  81. right away (unless of course, it coincides).

  86. enough people register, I'll release v1.2 which will work with Qecho 2.75.
